Abstract
This book has been written as an aid to everyone who can do anything to improve nutrition and especially for medical assistants, community development and social workers, and to teachers in schools. It will be particularly useful in areas where maize, millet and cassava are the main foods. The growth of the child, food, budgeting and feeding the family, the community, health education and nutrition are fully covered. Most of the book is the outcome of the nutrition activity that was taking place in Zambia at the time that the book was being written, and shows that the battle against malnutrition can be won.
