Description
This paper attempts to review relevant issues concerning strategies for combating micronutrient malnutrition in poor communities,and, in particular, to discuss the merits of food-based strategies vis-a-vis other possible strategies for this purpose.

There have been some excellent reports/review of food-based approaches towards combating micronutrient malnutrition. There have also been reports about the use of supplement. The present paper does not propose to cover the ground so ably covered by these earlier reports. The information and view points expressed in the above reports have been taken into consideration. What we will attempting in this Reports is to discuss the broad strategies for control of micronutrient malnutrition in developing countries based on all available information and inputs from several sources.
